Great practical read on perfecting your light

This book is fantastic in may ways: Nick Fancher is a great writer with very direct no-bs-fluff style that makes reading very enjoyable. Information is broken down for easy digest. It made me rethink my approach to what I do with a camera in order to produce rather than capture interesting, innovative and high-quality photographs. Publication is also beautify designed and edited and images and diagrams make it a great tutorial.

This unique collection of images is the perfect gift for lovers of old Hollywood glamour, film and photography. YUL is a remarkable book that reminds readers of an elegant past.

An excellent gift for a fan

I got this four volume set as a present for a friend who really admired his work--in front of and behind the camera. The intimacy of the photos are great, and the presentation in the book is lovely. My only wish is that all the volumes had been hard-bound rather than paperback, but the presentation sleeve is quite nice, so that almost makes up for this little quibble.

The Complete Package

The public Yul Brynner is so powerful: the definitive "King" of "The King and I," the lean man in black (and by far the most Magnificent) in "The Magnificent Seven," the relentless robot in "Westworld," and the brave spokesperson for Lung Cancer, that it is easy to forget that behind the elegant looks and polished diverse performances there was a strong intellect, a keen eye, and unrivalled access to the most glamorous, intriguing people of his time.

"Yul" captures both the world the Yul Brynner moved in and gives the reader a shimmering glimpse at the artist behind his public persona.

All photographs reveal as much about the photographer as the subject. In the images here, it is clear that Yul Brynner had the gift of making the people around him feel at ease, entertained, and, most importantly, themselves.

Catch a glimpse of his daughter Victoria, only a toddler, but clearly delighted in her father's company; Ingrid Bergman, eyes alight with laughter; or Frank Sinatra, relaxed in a way the public never saw, and you will feel welcomed into Yul Brynner's private way of seeing. These photographs make his vision of the world real.

Wow! What a story! Great plot, gripping, entertaining, easy to read. I could not put the book down until I finished it! The story is full of twists and turns, and it keeps you on the edge until the very end. Great job! It is a visual book, and I could imagine it being used for a movie script one day!

Excellent and fast read!

The first night I read it was just before bed--huge mistake. The haunted house scenes (there are few so I'm not giving anything away) prevented me from turning off my night light.
If you think you can pin the ending of this book Joe thought ten steps ahead of you. I was constantly guessing and never too sure how it would end.
The main character, Bren, is well-developed and likeable, you want to meet him and make him a friend.
I LOVE murder mystery and I LOVED this book. Just try and put this book down, I dare you.

If you love to read, you'll love this book. The Reflection is a delicious masterpiece of twists and turns that will take you on an incredible trip. It's one of the best stories I've read and extremely well-written in a very visual style. I couldn't put it down and finished the book in 2 days! Great writing, great story, great ending! Not all Dickens writings are what you think they are cracked up to be.

Aughhhh, another Charles Diskens book I couldn't wait to put down. It tried my patience to the ends. Long, stretched out, over dialogued...I simply forced myself to finish this book. I love Dickens when he's on, but my bucket list to read all of his books may turn out to be part torture.

Beyond Incredible and Absolutely Amazing!

As a two thousand year old vampire elder, Stacia is haunted by her mortal past.

Though Stacia finds pleasure and arousal in the taking of blood, she also knows that she can't let herself love again. Betrayed by the only man she ever loved, she has carried the hurt of the betrayal for two thousand years and won't open her heart to anyone.

That all changes when she meets the mortal DEA Agent Alex Garcia.

For years now, Alex has been plagued with nightmares of a demon. She comes to him in his dreams as she came to him years ago, while he was on the brink of death. While working on another case, he is stunned to come face to face with the demon from his dreams.

Alex spots Stacia in a local club, The Widget, while working on a case to find five missing women. He is shocked to see his demon in the flesh. For her part, Stacia can't place Alex but cannot deny that the connection between them is incredibly strong.

As the connection and attraction grows between them, Alex and Stacia each deal with their own demons: Stacia believes that she is not worthy of love, that no one could love a vampire. For his part, Alex believes that vampires can't possibly exist.

However, when Stacia reveals her vampire side to Alex, both of them must deal with their demons if either of them will have a chance at love.

I love everything that Caridad Pineiro writes, but I especially love her vampire Calling Series. It's been a long time since the last book in the series, Fury Calls, was published in 2009. There have, of course, been vampire novels aplenty since then but few reach the caliber and beauty that Pineiro gives her vampires.

Kissed by a Vampire is absolutely flat out incredible. I have always loved Stacia ever since she showed up in the Calling Series and have always wanted her to find a true love to melt her cold heart. I wondered what it would be like to have her as a heroine when she's been a supporting character throughout the series. I'm so thrilled that Stacia got her own book and it was well worth the wait to see her in the spotlight.

Stacia is a very unconventional heroine and meets her match in Alex Garcia. Both characters meshed really well for me and the romance between them moved naturally with no forced moments. Instead, the love affair between them is genuinely touching and wonderful to watch as it unfolds.

Not only is Kissed by a Vampire incredibly well written, it flows so smoothly that you'll be done the book before you realize it. It's filled with characters that live beyond the printed page as you'll carry them with you long after you turn the last page.

The plot was thrilling, the romance hot and spicy, the action fantastic. Kissed by a Vampire has everything you could want and then some. I loved Kissed by a Vampire so much that I hope Stacia and Alex get another book to themselves so that we can see how their relationship develops over time.

Caridad Pineiro has written an incredible tale of betrayal, love and redemption. It hooked me from the first page and held me spellbound until the last page. In fact, I'd say that it's her best book in the series so far and I loved every gorgeous moment.

If you read one romance this winter, read Kissed by a Vampire. It'll heat up your night and warm your heart.

Vampires have complicated lives

Pineiro is a masterful writer. She pulled me into the story with her easy prose. Then the sizzling conflict and emotion between the lovers held me spellbound. They fight for their relationship against all odds. What should be an unbelievable story becomes brutally real to the reader. And the pages fly. A great, hot read. Moral of the story: it sucks to be a vampire woman in love with a mortal man.

You start reading with the view that you already know what your zodiac sign is; till u discover through this book that you knew it all wrong all along.. Infact, we start asking relevant questions only after discovering the gems in this book.. After all, how can 6.5 billion people be classified as just 12 types (zodiac signs).. this book shows that there are 186 such types and accurately so.. I agree 85% to what's mentioned in this book and so will you, I am sure.. ! Am already waiting for Greenstone's next book. I have been following his accurate sports prediction for a few years now and the well articulated style that he adopts makes it even more interesting ..
